About the Job
Facility Assistant - Part time:
 Provides hands-on facilities and office support to ensure the building, office environment, and company properties are well maintained, organized, and operating efficiently. Demonstrates strong initiative, flexibility, and problem-solving skills while supporting daily facility operations, basic maintenance needs, office projects, and general administrative support.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Building Maintenance:
  • Perform daily building walkthroughs to ensure the property is clean, safe, and well maintained.
  • Assist with daily facility operations, including kitchenettes, common areas, conference rooms, and office spaces.
  • Monitor building conditions and report maintenance concerns or issues requiring attention.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs when possible and coordinate escalation when needed.
  • Assist with furniture moves, office setups, and rearranging spaces as needed.
  • Support vendor visits and assist with building service requirements.
  • Inspect outside areas of the building and ensure overall property appearance is maintained.
  • Check and monitor basic building systems, including HVAC areas, mechanical rooms, lighting, and other facility equipment.
  • Assist with routine facility inspections and scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Visit additional company properties as needed to ensure facilities are maintained properly.
  • Complete other building and property maintenance tasks as required.

IT & Equipment Support:
  • Assist with setup and movement of office equipment, computers, and other workplace technology.

Office Support & Special Projects:
  • Assist with office organization, decluttering, and records management projects.
  • Support scanning, filing, document organization, and document retention initiatives.
  • Assist with company events, office setups, and special projects as needed.
  • Run occasional errands, pickups, deliveries, and other office support tasks.
  • Maintain building supplies and ensure common areas are properly stocked.
  • Provide flexible support to various departments based on business needs.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Participate as needed in special department projects.
  • Provide support during office changes, moves, and facility improvements.
  • Assist with seasonal projects, including office decorations and company initiatives.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years of facilities, maintenance, office services, or related support experience preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic issues.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong customer service orientation and willingness to assist employees and vendors.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems and technology.
  • Ability to lift, move, and carry office equipment, furniture, and supplies as needed (up to approximately 50 lbs.).
  • Flexible, dependable, and comfortable performing a wide variety of tasks in a fast-paced office environment.
